Illustrated Journal Entry

Over the weekend, I researched the Golden Ratio (also known as the Golden Mean). In art, it is defined as a single large rectangle formed by a square and another rectangle. Its appearance in art, music, patterns of human behavior, and even the human body’s proportion means its a good principle of structure and design. With the Golden Ratio, visual points of interest are usually found in diagonal lines, and that is usually where an artist puts their main point of focus. The Golden Ratio is highly important when it comes to composition in a piece of artwork.
